1.095 days have past between the last Euroshop in Düsseldorf, Germany, and the one that just finished. In those 1.095 days we dearly missed an opportunity to be present at an event of such characteristics, an event where we come across novelties in our branch and where we encounter new trends, products or services. We also missed the opportunity to be together with many other professionals, who, although we can’t meet everybody in person, we know they’re present. Like us they’re investigating anything new and gathering information; looking for nourishment that will be sufficient for the next three years.

The majority of professionals present in Euroshop we don’t know personally, but we know they’re at hand. And of course we meet with... [read +]

Directly on entering the fairground, on our way to the first pavilion, we were led to a space where we were presented with the principal innovations in sustainable production, materials, techniques, and investigation. This was one of the main themes of this Euroshop. Though this idea is good in itself we can still improve a lot as branch in this respect. We found non ecological materials, for good reasons we won’t name them here, which keep on being used because no substitutes exists that offer the same ... [read +]

The artist who realized this installation for the MCM Company in Düsseldorf is called Graig Redman. Right on entering the city we met this huge eye that seemed to want to swallow us with its fixed stare. It really made a great impact! More so because we found that inside the eye a video about MCM Company was shown.
This was followed by many show windows that welcomed us at Euroshop. During the last edition of Euroshop, when the first signs of the financial crises were announcing themselves, such show windows were hard to find. But this year, we reencountered many firms that, with the help of design agencies, were offering us really interesting setups as a welcome.
Apart from MCM, Norman King, Tommy Hilfiger, Herme.... [read +]

We don’t need to say much about the stands of the mannequin manufacturers. The images speak for themselves. These companies have recovered the level of 2005. The last edition, the one of 2008, left us uninspired as the level of the product as well as the styling and the presentation were well below the standard.
We were specifically interested in the presentation of plastic mannequins. A first sight they seemed to be matching the ones of conventional fabrication.
This part of Euroshop is the one that the average visitor likes most, more true so for the ones who visit it for the first time and flip with all the styling. Those of us who consider themselves veterans aren’t exactly looking for.... [read +]

You can’t do without the men in blue. We would miss them because every time we see them we can’t avoid following their slow movements for a while.
We were surprised to see the amount of creative companies that presented themselves at this fair. There were many companies present that dedicate themselves to the construction of stands and shops. On the other hand, there weren’t that many companies dedicated to display design, the design of events, or visual merchandising. The display design companies we visited represented their clients with awesome exhibitions of design and modernity. Many of those companies used panels with led technology... [read +]

As we said before when speaking about sustainability, LED technology has entered the market to stay. What is more, we have to admit it, this new technology exceeds our expectations.
Up to the day of our voyage to Düsseldorf we were questioning the utility of LED technology in the interior of a shop or in its show windows. We doubted its efficacy in retail. Well, now we can truly say that we’ve entered the era of LED. Many proposals of the main manufacturers are on the same level as halogens would offer.
The propositions of Erco, iGuzzinni, General Electric and Regiani particularly... [read +]

Düsseldorf enjoys worldwide fame not only for its many important international fairs. Its attractive cultural and gastronomic offer which includes both new trends and the most requested classic is another added incentive. [read +]
